Your service partner under the Dutch Heat Act

SVS Warmteservice is the party that carries out the work behind the statutory duty to supply borne by heat suppliers, energy operators, housing associations, managing agents and installation contractors. Our service is built around the obligations the Dutch Heat Act (Warmtewet) places on you.

Why maintenance pays off

Preventing faults

Planned maintenance catches problems early and keeps them in hand, before the resident notices anything.

Lower costs

Timely maintenance avoids major repairs and replacements, and makes your budget predictable.

Reliability

A well-maintained system performs consistently and does not fail when demand peaks.

Efficiency and energy savings

A properly balanced system keeps running efficiently and wastes less energy.

Safety

Regular inspections establish the condition of the system, which is how dangerous situations are avoided.

Longer service life

Regular maintenance reduces wear and corrosion, and pushes replacement investment further out.

What the law asks of you and what we do about it

The Dutch Heat Act places the duty to supply on you as the heat supplier. We are the party that delivers on it in practice.

Reliable and uninterrupted supply

The Heat Act requiresThe Heat Act obliges you to supply heat reliably and continuously, on reasonable terms and to a good standard of service.

What SVS doesWe keep the system running: planned maintenance to fixed protocols, and a call-out service reachable 24 hours a day.

Fault compensation and the fault register

The Heat Act requiresFor prolonged interruptions the consumer is entitled to compensation. You must record faults and publish the register annually; the Dutch regulator ACM supervises this.

What SVS doesWe log every report, every contact and every action. You get the records you need. We work to keep repair times inside the threshold.

Metering and accountability

The Heat Act requiresIndividual metering and correct billing per consumer are laid down in law.

What SVS doesWe maintain and check the heat meters in the HIU, and flag discrepancies before they turn into a dispute with the resident.

The duty to supply and the legal liability remain with the heat supplier. We carry out the work and provide the evidence.
