District heating service engineer
You resolve the fault at the resident's home, right first time.
As a service engineer you are the one who resolves the fault in people's homes. No drudgery and not just a number, but your own van, plenty of freedom and a close-knit team that ends the week together on Friday. Your patch covers roughly the south of the country and the Randstad. Everything lies within about an hour's drive.
What you will be doing
- You independently resolve faults on heat interface units and heating systems in people's homes.
- You carry out maintenance and commission new installations.
- You quickly recognise whether it is an isolated fault or something in the communal system.
- You are the face of SVS to the customer: you plan your own appointments and call residents yourself.
- You complete your job sheet in our own system. The diagnosis is usually waiting for you, so you do not need to be an administrative wizard.
What you bring
- A technical qualification, preferably in building services engineering.
- Roughly one to two years' experience with heat interface units or comparable equipment. You know your way around the unit.
- Persistence. First-time fix is in your nature: you do not give up until it is solved.
- You work independently, think in solutions and present yourself well to the customer.
- A full driving licence.
No VCA or VeWa certification? Not a problem. You take them with us, at our expense. We are also happy to talk to you without experience: if you know something about thermostats, in-home heating systems and heat emitters, and want to specialise further in heat, we will teach you the rest. Above all we are looking for a solid grounding, a willingness to work and loyalty.
